TOUR OVERVIEW

Expedition to the uncharted Caribbean coast! Eat Fresh Seafood, explore wild jungles and lagoons, swim in crystal clear waters, learn about and experience indigenous cultures. These are just a few of the great attractions and activities you will experience on this adventure to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. This is 7 day tour departing from Managua and returning to Managua.

ITINERARY
Day Activities
1 Managua to Pearl Lagoon. Transfer from Managua to Pearl Lagoon via Bluefields.
2 Pearl Keys. Spend the day on these beautiful and remote islands - swimming, snorkeling, fishing and relaxing. Then we camp under the stars with a bonfire and fresh fish dinner. During the sea turtle nesting season we take a night walk to search for nesting Hawksbill turtles.
3 After a morning on the islands we return to Pearl Lagoon town for the night.
4 Patch River and Wawashang Reserve. We make our way to the Wawashang reserve stopping on the way at the Patch River to search for wildlife and visit the local communities. We arrive in the reserve by sunset. We overnight at the biological station. Night walk through the jungle searching for wildlife such as Sloths and Owls.
5 Early morning hike through the reserve in search of wildlife and helping with research investigations. In the afternoon we make our way back to Pearl Lagoon village via a visit to Graifuna community in Orninoco.
6 Early start to the Miskito community of Kakabila. This community sits on the edge of virgin rainforest. We spend the day hiking in this forest searching for wildlife, which includes Jaguars and Tapir. Overnight in Pearl Lagoon village.
7 Transfer to Managua via local bus.
